North mead place comprehensive plan amendment

The Town of Mead Board of Trustees approved a Comprehensive Plan Amendment for North Mead Place, paving the way for a more diverse range of residential development that supports Mead’s long-term planning goals.

The land use designation change from Large Lot Residential to Single Family Residential provides greater flexibility in shaping a smoother transition between surrounding land uses and integrating with existing neighborhoods to the north and west and the future Commercial Mixed-Use areas to the south. Significant neighborhood input and collaboration helped refine a conceptual site plan that supported the map revision.

This infill project supports Mead’s vision for smart, responsible growth by creating opportunities for a broader range of housing options while encouraging development that uses existing infrastructure.
