Located in Broomfield Community Park, Broomfield Health and Human Services offers child, adult, and family services including trauma-informed referral, assessment, and intervention services to families of children and at-risk adults who may be experiencing abuse and/or neglect. Because of the sensitive nature of these services, outdoor gathering areas were carefully crafted with patios and seating areas situated adjacent to the building. These gathering areas were designed to be smaller in scale and more intimate in nature with strategically placed vegetation to soften the built environment and provide a natural calming element to the spaces. Additional outdoor areas at Broomfield Health and Human Services complement the surrounding park amenities with public art installations, seating areas, and places to gather that were designed to promote social interaction and create inviting meeting spaces for visitors.
