Sterling Ranch Parks

Construction is underway for two new parks (tracts B and D) in Sterling Ranch Filing 6A. Park tract B is a 1.93-acre tract situated at the terminus of Eagle River Street, the primary thoroughfare entry into the neighborhood. The park is nestled between single-family detached homes and is terraced on a hillside overlooking the Sterling Gulch wildlife corridor. Park tract B includes a multi-level playground climbing structure, a swing set, soft surface trails, and a climbing boulder. It also has a 20,000-square-foot multi-purpose turf area for flexible play, covered picnic tables, and other essential park site furnishings. Park tract D is a 2.03-acre tract that sits at the western side of the neighborhood and forms the second entry into the subdivision on Snake River Street. This park is home to a basketball court, an 18,000-square-foot multi-purpose field, and covered picnic tables.

Both park tracts were developed based on feedback received from residents on the amenities they would most like to see in their parks. The parks are primarily intended to serve the residents living in Filings 6A, 6B, and 6C at Sterling Ranch. Users are anticipated to access the parks via local sidewalks and an eight-foot concrete trail planned to bisect park tract B, which will provide access to and from future Filings 6B and 6C on the east side of the Sterling Gulch wildlife corridor. The addition of these exciting new park spaces reflects the desires of residents and provides them with recreational opportunities to live a healthy, active lifestyle just steps from their door.
