Westerly is a 400-acre master planned community, comprised of 1,200 residential homes, situated just north of Denver in Erie, Colorado. It is planned to include a diverse mix of housing, ranging from townhomes to single-family homes, in a variety of configurations, sizes, and prices throughout the community. The design concept for Westerly is a walkable, mixed-use village with direct connections through open space to parks and trails.

Westerly is composed of a well-connected street network that disperses traffic and increases pedestrian connections. This walkable design style increases the opportunity for daily interactions between neighbors leading to increased social engagement, development of trust, and ultimately, a strengthened community bond. Residences at Westerly have been strategically placed to ensure every resident is within a 5-minute walk to parks or various pedestrian trail network connections. With streets favoring people over cars, a large central greenway with active uses anchored on each end of the community, and a passive trail linking the neighborhood, Westerly has the capacity to host community events at varying scales—from block parties to outdoor markets—and provides residents with the opportunity to break free from the city and connect to nature just beyond their door.
